The Last Two Days are Focused on the Theme: ME & MY CHURCH
(Just like Me & My God – Deuteronomy 12:3-6).
TODAY, SUNDAY, 19TH OF JANUARY 2025.
The 12th Day of Our 12 Days Annual Covenant Fasting & Prayer with God.
Theme for the Year 2025: Breaking Forth into All Good Things
(Genesis 28:28-29, Isaiah 58:8-9)
Silent destinies and situations must speak forth this year in Jesus' name.
TODAY’S FOCUS:
THE RIGHT PEOPLE/NEW IDEAS/NEW VISION/DIVINE KNOWLEDGE.
Sub-topic: Me & My Church
Scripture Reference: Exodus 31, 32, 39 & 40
I have read the entire book of Exodus many times, but God's word brings fresh inspiration every day. This time, as I reached the last two chapters, the Lord struck my mind with a new revelation.
God said, "What happened here is what My servants need to know to work with Me without stress."
Not only that, I also found what faithful co-leaders and members of the church need to understand.
In Brief:
God called Moses to Himself on Mount Horeb and instructed him to build a sanctuary so He could dwell among them (Exodus 25:8). God also emphasized doing it according to His description (Exodus 25:9).
The Right People:
In Exodus 31:1-11, God told Moses that He had assigned specific individuals for the work and equipped them with wisdom, understanding, knowledge, and ideas.
In Exodus 39:32-43, we see that after the work was completed, it was presented to Moses for inspection. Verse 43 says that Moses inspected the work, saw it was well done, and blessed them.
In Exodus 40:33-34, the scripture says: Moses finished the work, and God's spirit came in.
A Lesson for Us
1 Corinthians 12:4-11, 13-15, 26-30 enlightens us on the importance of everyone’s involvement in ensuring God’s work is accomplished.
Ephesians 4:11-12 reinforces this by saying:
"And He gave some, apostles; and some, prophets; and some, evangelists; and some, pastors and teachers, for the perfecting of the saints, for the work of the ministry, and for the edifying of the body of Christ."
This shows that a man of God doesn’t need to know everything if the right people are around him. These people, free from jealousy, self-centeredness, and rebellion, can work selflessly to fulfill God’s mission.
Unity in Purpose
The Bible teaches us that many gifts work together for one body and one purpose (1 Corinthians 12:4).
Moses succeeded because God placed the right people around him. Moses could not single-handedly build the sanctuary, but the right people did it, and God was glorified (Exodus 40:34).
In today’s world, such individuals would be likened to billionaires. Think of innovators like Thomas Edison (light bulb), Mark Zuckerberg (Facebook), or Bill Gates (Microsoft).
Lessons from History
Sadly, many miss such opportunities today due to jealousy, selfishness, pride, and arrogance. They fail to see that helping others fulfill God’s work ultimately brings blessings to themselves.
Take inspiration from examples like:
- Elisha, who became greater than Elijah because of faithfulness.
- Joshua, who reached the Promised Land and witnessed great miracles because he stood as the right man.
Moses succeeded because God provided him with right men who worked selflessly, and their names remain relevant in the Bible to this day.
Reflections
Are you the right man or woman of our day in this church? Are you someone God can trust and invest in—both for this ministry and His global work? If so, know that God will surely reward you far beyond your expectations.
LET US PRAY:
- Lord, make me the right man/woman who looks unto You alone, serving You and this ministry with all my capacity, just as in Exodus 31:1.
- Father, don't let me be too busy to miss Your purpose for my life in 2025 (2 Timothy 4:10).
- Oh Lord, let me be led by Your Spirit and not controlled by the flesh, for those who are in the flesh cannot please God (Romans 8:14).
- Father, I rebuke the spirit of stinginess. Help me release my resources for Your work and bless me abundantly in return (Deuteronomy 8:18).
- Father, make me like Bezalel and Aholiab in this generation. Help me recognize that everything I do is ultimately for You and for my benefit (Romans 14:8).
- Father, keep me away from deceitful people like Judas. Let me serve You with integrity (Jeremiah 48:10).
PERSONAL PRAYERS:
- Lord, fill me with wisdom, knowledge, and understanding as You did with the workers in Exodus 31:3. Let me use these gifts to create and innovate for Your glory.
- Lord, show me the mysteries of Your power, as You did for Joseph. Use my gifts to bring me from obscurity to prominence (Genesis 41:14).
- Father, activate the gifts in my life, just as You did for Daniel in a foreign land. Let these gifts elevate me and glorify Your name (2 Timothy 1:5-6).
- Lord, bless me and my children with innovative ideas that will transform our lives and stories, just like Edison, Zuckerberg, and others (Haggai 2:8).
PROPHETIC DECLARATION:
I decree, oh month of December, you shall not swallow me or my family!
We shall go through you with joy and gladness.
All evil plans shall fail, and only the good things ordained for us shall manifest in Jesus' mighty name!
This year, I am breaking forth into all good things in Jesus' name!
Thank you, and may God's blessings continue to guide you.
